Sad

Boys are stupid

Today I'm feeling pretty lousy because of some stupid boy who turned out to not be
worth the effort I put into him, so I'm going to have one of my best friends over and
we're going to watch films (any we can find that don't have a boy-meets-girl
storyline, and they're more difficult to find than you think) and eat pizza and sweets
and chocolate and drink loads of tea and bitch about how stupid men can be.

If you have a man (or woman, I don't discriminate) in your life I hope that they are
wonderful and make you as happy as you deserve to be.

Stop being a dick

I am sure that I am not the first, and will by no means be the last girl to be confused by boys. They say that we are the complicated beings and that they are simple creatures, with simple minds... if only they knew how confusing (and aggravating) their behaviour could really be.

The one thing though that really annoys me, that grinds my gears, creams my corn and makes me want to throw my boot at them, is when they treat girls like property. What kind of thought process leads a guy into thinking that he can go behind his girlfriend's back and tell a guy not to talk to her?

He doesn't tell his girlfriend it bothered him, or even ask her to stop talking to the boy. No, he completely skips the part that might actually involve a girl's point of view, and tells the boy not to speak to his girlfriend again, and his girlfriend has no idea. If he does it over Facebook, then he has a small wena and no more can be said. I applaude the boys who don't listen to these stupid, immature boyfriends and continue to talk to the girlfriends, because atleast you realise that we are entitled to our own opinion and this is 20-bloody-13, not 1823, and girls are not a boy's property, they'll talk to who they damn-well like.

It's so chauvinistic, and all just a battle of egos and "don't go talking to my woman" - it's bollocks! Haven't we come far enough now that boys might just realise that girls are entitled to their own fucking opinion and have the ability to actually make their own decisions about who talks to them and who doesn't?

I don't know if any boys are reading this right now, but if you take anything from this post, let it be this:
If you are feeling insecure about your girlfriend talking to other boys, just talk to her about it. Not so difficult, is it?

A new chapter

create an animated gif

As we have both recently got out of considerably long-term relationships, we've decided to revel in the fact that we are once again single, and are determined not to let it get us down.

Top 20 things you can only do when you're single
  1. Not shave your legs in winter
  2. Not have to text one person all the time
  3. Not have to sit with them at friends' parties
  4. Not having to make awkward conversation with their families
  5. Not have to worry about what to buy him for birthdays, Christmas etc. boys are so hard to buy for!
  6. Have absolutely no feelings of guilt when going out with friends
  7. Be able to flirt with guy friends
  8. Watch any film you want
  9. Be able to post selfies without feeling guilty
  10. Be able to go all-out on celebrity crushes
  11. No longer having to worry about matching underwear
  12. Change appearance drastically
  13. Do girly things eg. nails and shopping and that
  14. Being able to plan your future around yourself
  15. Have the first stage of a relationship again
  16. Being able to look around when you're out and "window shop"
  17. Getting excited to go somewhere new and meet new people
  18. Being able to like other boys' profile photos
  19. Being able to go out with just guy friends and not feeling weird and guilty
  20. Feeling like you can fall in love again
Obviously the end of a relationship is not the best of times, but as with everything in life you have to make the most of what you've been given and that is what we intend to do.

Relationship Photoshoot #2

I edited the photos from last weekend's Relationship Photoshoot today in my Photography lesson.

If any of you reading this happen to be Photoshop whizzes - do you know a technique where I can select the hair so it looks more natural and less cut out, especially when I'm putting them onto a new (not plain white) background?

Thanks for reading!

Relationshiops photoshoot

On Saturday night, I managed to con Hannah (of Doubleyou fame) and her boyfriend to come over to my house and have a photoshoot. The theme was relationships; good and bad.
I borrowed my brother's DSLR (I trusted myself with it since I wasn't leaving the house) to make the photos more dynamic however I also had difficulties when it came to focusing - resulting in a lot of fuzzy photos.

Here are some of my favourites (pre Photoshop)

Thankyou for looking!
